Job Title: Sales Executive Department: Freight Forwarding Job Type: Full-time Reports to: Freight Forwarding Manager Location: Belapur, Navi Mumbai
Job Summary: As a Sales Executive in the freight forwarding sector, your primary responsibility is to generate new business and maintain existing client relationships. You will play a crucial role in promoting and selling the services offered by the freight forwarding company. Your efforts will contribute to the company's growth and success in the logistics industry. Key Responsibilities: Prospecting and Lead Generation: · Identify and target potential clients in various industries that require freight forwarding services. · Generate leads through cold calls, email campaigns, networking, and market research. · Build a robust sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying potential opportunities Client Engagement: · Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing solutions to meet those needs. · Conduct regular client meetings to ensure client satisfaction and gather feedback Solution Presentation: · Develop a deep understanding of the company's freight forwarding services, including import/export logistics, customs clearance, documentation, and transportation. · Present and demonstrate the company's services to potential clients, highlighting their benefits and advantages Sales Proposals and Negotiation: · Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, including pricing, terms, and conditions. · Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure new business while ensuring that the company's profitability is maintained Market Analysis: · Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. · Provide market feedback and insights to help the company tailor its services and stay competitive Sales Reporting: · Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline updates. · Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and forecasts Targets and Quotas: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and quotas set by the company Collaboration: · Work closely with operations, customer service, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to clients. · Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and knowledge.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Experience: Proven 3 yrs experience in customer service, preferably in the freight forwarding Skills and Competencies: · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for tracking and documentation. · Knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and incoterms. · Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities. · Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. · Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
