Agency Lead, Marketing Team

Chief Marketing Officer (US)

Position Summary:

Smith + Howard is seeking an experienced Agency Lead for our India Marketing team. The role is responsible for providing strategic oversight, project leadership, and quality delivery of marketing initiatives. This position will manage cross-functional collaboration, oversee agency/vendor relationships, and ensure resources are effectively allocated to achieve Smith + Howard's business and brand objectives. The Agency Lead will serve as a key point of coordination between the India marketing team, US counterparts, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight & Strategic Planning:

  • Lead end-to-end management of marketing projects, ensuring alignment with firm-wide priorities.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable project plans with defined deliverables and timelines.
  • Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure successful project outcomes.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Act as the primary liaison between Smith + Howard US Marketing leadership, India marketing team, and external agency partners.
  • Facilitate clear, consistent communication across all stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that supports efficiency and innovation.

Resource Allocation & Team Leadership:

  • Manage allocation of resources, including people, budgets, and tools, to maximize productivity.
  • Oversee agency and vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely execution.
  • Support leadership in building, mentoring, and developing a high-performing India marketing team.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Establish and track KPIs to measure project and campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on project performance, highlighting key insights and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives demonstrate measurable ROI and align with firm objectives.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all deliverables meet Smith + Howard's brand standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Implement structured review and approval processes to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Drive continuous improvement in workflows and execution standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing project management, agency/vendor management, or similar leadership roles.
  • Strong background in overseeing cross-functional marketing initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking and reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management and marketing tools.
