C.V. Raman Global University (CGU), Odisha started in 1997 as a degree-level engineering college, named as C.V. Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE). • In the field of research, the University received grants over 5 crores in 2022.
• Ms. Manisha Padhi, alumni of CGU have been appointed as the ADC to The Honble Governor of Mizoram in 2023 and became the first ever female to hold the position.
• Ms. Swagatika Mohanty, Civil Engineering , has bagged the 15th rank in Odisha Civil Services Exam in 2023 and is now a functional, respectable, responsible OAS.
• Safia Aktar, Anshu Kumari, and Radhika Rani Panda won the 1st prize at 10-Hour Women Hackathon organised by Trithon Triplets 2k23.
• Abhishek Kumar, B.Tech (ECE) awarded the Visweswaraya Prativa Puraskar at Odisha Technological Conclave, 2023.
• Mr. Praveen Giri won the Silver Medal in the area of Water Technology at World Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
• Mr. Subrat Patel won Medallion of Excellence in the area of Restaurant Services at World Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
• 9 students represented India in World skills 2022 in 7 various Skills.
• CGU won Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2022 in Software Edition.

Where You Come In

The Executive Purchase will be responsible for assisting the procurement process, from identifying potential vendors to ensuring timely delivery and quality of materials. The role involves evaluating supplier quotations, maintaining purchase records, monitoring inventory levels, and preparing purchase reports.

Job Location: CGU campus (http://cgu-), Bhubaneswar.

Salary Information: Best commensurate with experience and interview performance

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Research on potential vendors.

2. Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.

3. Track orders and ensure timely delivery.

4. Review quality of purchased products.

5. Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.

6. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.

7. Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.

8. Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.

9. Coordinate with central store staff to ensure proper storage.

10. Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.

11. Any other responsibility as assigned by the reporting authority.

Who Are We Looking For

• Graduate in any discipline
• First Class (60%) career throughout
• Experience: 3 to 5 years in purchase or procurement, preferably in civil construction-related purchase activities.
• Proficient Knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

The ideal candidate is expected to efficiently manage procurement activities, ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with vendors and departments for smooth operations.
