Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop business opportunities with the Indian Defence (Army & Air Force) and Defence contractors for DG generator requirements.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, techno-commercial discussions, proposal preparation, tender participation, and order finalization.
  • Handle Defence procurement processes vendor registration, RFP/RFQ response, GeM/e-procurement portals, and contract negotiation.
  • Coordinate with DGQA/DGAQA and Defence inspection authorities to ensure product compliance and successful approvals.
  • Promote customized DG solutions (silent gensets, containerized/mobile power solutions, AMF/ATS panels) tailored to Defence applications.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Service teams to deliver cost-effective, compliant, and reliable solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Defence accounts and decision-makers to ensure repeat and long-term business.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and Defence modernization projects to align sales strategies.
  • Drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets in the Defence segment.
  • Provide after-sales support and manage AMC/Service contracts, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare MIS reports, sales forecasts, and project status updates for management review.
  • Ensure adherence to Defence procurement guidelines (DAP/DPP), quality standards, and statutory compliance.
