Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Retail Merchandiser, based in Bengaluru. As a Retail Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing product display, inventory levels, and promotional execution to maximize sales and profitability while improving inventory efficacy. You will collaborate with sales teams and store personnel to strategize and implement merchandising plans that align with brand guidelines. Monitoring market trends, analyzing sales data, and maintaining relationships with retail partners will also be key elements of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning and Merchandise Deployment
- OTB Limit finalisation and Indent planning for all product segments
- Store-wise Sales and Indent Planning for all retail, multiband stores
- Supporting store-wise Merchandise planning and recommendations on store-wise Norm planning
- Management of Seasonal planning and indent placement with sign off from brand/supply chain
New Store Management
- Adherence to the Due Diligence Process for all New stores to ensure the first assortment relevance to the market
- Recommendation and Sign off on New store First Assortment with regional Teams
- Review and Handholding of store performance
Productivity of Merchandise Investments
- Review and action planning for store-wise inventory performance to reduce dispersion in Turns across clusters
- Anchor for initiatives to drive sales while minimizing the idling of inventory
- Drive reduction in backend inventory and support the deployment of Vendor buffers
- Deployment and Review of store empowerment on Merchandise investments
Qualifications:
- Strong skills in Sales and Sales & Marketing to engage with retail partners effectively and achieve sales goals.
- Proficiency in Communication and Customer Service to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience in Retail operations and merchandising to execute promotional strategies and ensure effective product placement.
- Ability to analyze market trends and sales data to make informed decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in merchandising and category management, preferably in the retail industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of successfully managing and growing product categories
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
- Knowledge and experience of the watch or fashion accessories market is a plus
