Job Summary
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the supermarket's operations, ensuring profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong leader who can manage teams effectively, streamline processes, and maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the supermarket, including sales, inventory, customer service, and staff management.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve customer experience, and control costs.
- Lead, train, and motivate department heads and store employees to achieve performance goals.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely restocking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health standards.
- Analyze financial reports, set budgets, and track KPIs to ensure store profitability.
- Plan and execute promotional activities and seasonal campaigns.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in retail management or supermarket operations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and sales forecasting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and retail management systems (POS, inventory software, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a customer-first mindset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹45, ₹50,000.00 per month
