Roles and Responsibilities (EPC Projects)

  • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Perform rate analysis, budgeting, and cost forecasting for EPC projects including civil, mechanical, electrical, and pipeline works.
  • Manage tendering activities floating enquiries, receiving quotations, preparing technical-commercial bid comparisons, and finalizing vendor/subcontractor offers.
  • Handle complete tender documentation, including technical bid preparation, commercial bid submission, and post-bid clarifications.
  • Utilize MS Project (MSP) or Primavera for project scheduling, monitoring, and progress tracking to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams for alignment of quantities, design, and project scope.
  • Conduct value engineering to achieve cost efficiency while maintaining functionality, safety, and quality standards.
  • Review contract clauses, manage variation/change orders, and ensure commercial and statutory compliance.
  • Maintain project budgets, cash flow statements, and cost control reports for management review.
  • Develop and maintain rate databases, vendor lists, and cost benchmarks for future tenders and projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and consultants for technical clarifications, site visits, and bid presentations.
  • Support procurement planning and material reconciliation to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare MIS reports, project dashboards, and progress summaries for management and client reporting.
  • Contribute to risk analysis, cost optimization strategies, and performance evaluations across EPC projects.
