Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef located in Pune. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Responsibilities also include supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and contributing to menu development. The Sous Chef will maintain high levels of kitchen cleanliness and organization, support the training of junior staff, and collaborate with the team to create exceptional dishes.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Proficiency in traditional Mangalorean cuisine and use of spices
- Skills in supervising kitchen staff and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to manage inventory and control costs
- Experience in menu development and creativity in dish presentation
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
