Role: Detailed Network Planning (Executive)
Location: Chennai
Working hours: Normal weekday working in GMT timing in that specified location
Role Purpose
Detailed Network Planning Engineer is responsible for providing planning, designing and latest transmission technology.
Key Responsibilities
- In-depth technical knowledge of optical layer transport systems, OTN, ROADM, SONET/SDH, cross connect switching and signal grooming, as well as, knowledge of ring and mesh network topologies.
- Need to explore their skill and experience in the field of SDH, DWDM & OTN technology, for creation and migration of transmission bandwidth.
- Solid understanding of complex transport system hardware and software architectures
- High & Low level Design and planning experience in SDH, DWDM & OTN systems.
- Highly motivated with the ability to operate without direct supervision.
- Independently handling the client calls
- Have to maintain Good relationship with Onshore/ Offshore Colleague and have to meets customer requirements
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
- Proficiency in SDH/SONET digital hierarchy is required from fractional T1/E1 to 100G circuit level.
- Good Planning knowledge in PDH, SDH and DWDM systems and Knowledge on transmission network products, like Marconi,Nortel and Ciena 6500 equipments etc.
- Ability to devise solutions for various projects like Site, Ring, Legacy equipment optimization and migrations.
- Highly motivated with the ability to operate without direct supervision.
- Good knowledge on various Telecommunication equipment's.
- Knowledge in various products offered by service provider.
Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-4 years relevant experience in SDH/DWDM with good discipline, winning attitude and keep on trying to achieve a team goal mentality.
- Graduation in Telecommunications/ Electronics.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with good skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Good communication and Interpersonal skill.
- Basic knowledge on IP networks.
