Lead - Sales, Business Development
, and Regulatory will be responsible for driving the commercial growth and visibility of the company in the energy transition sectors. Oversee and integrate sales strategies, business development initiatives, and regulatory activities to ensure the company capitalizes on opportunities within the rapidly evolving energy landscape.
He/She will be a strategic and results-driven leader who is well-versed in the energy transition industry, including renewable energy technologies (biofuels, hydrogen, solar, wind, etc.), energy storage, decarbonization, and sustainability. Develop and execute strategies to expand market share, create new revenue streams, build and nurture strategic partnerships, and enhance the company's brand and market position in the energy transition sector.
Key focus areas:-
Sales Strategy and Execution: Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to enter into a long-term sale-purchase agreement with offtakers of clean fuels. Establish clear sales targets, performance metrics, and KPIs to track and manage the success of sales efforts. Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the effective conversion of leads into long-term business opportunities. Develop and manage relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry leaders to expand the company's market presence and secure new contracts.
Business Development and Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business development opportunities in emerging and established markets within the energy transition sector, including clean fuels such as SAF, Green hydrogen and derivates such as clean ammonia, methanol etc, carbon projects such as Biochar, large scale plantation etc . Lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations that support the company's long-term growth in the energy transition space. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover new opportunities, understand customer needs, and stay ahead of industry trends.
Regulatory Strategy & Compliance: Develop and implement a comprehensive regulatory strategy to guide the company's energy transition initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant local, national, and international regulations. Monitor and interpret emerging energy transition regulations, including renewable energy policies, carbon pricing, emission reduction targets, and sustainability standards. Ensure that all projects, technologies, and business operations comply with industry regulations and sustainability guidelines.
Policy Advocacy & Government Relations: Lead the company's engagement with governmental agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to advocate for policies that support renewable energy, energy efficiency, and decarbonization efforts. Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders in government, public institutions, and industry organizations to influence energy policy, regulations, and subsidies. Monitor and participate in public consultations, hearings, and regulatory processes to shape energy transition policies that benefit the company's business model. Represent the company in regulatory discussions, ensuring that the company's position is well-articulated and aligned with its long-term sustainability and business goals.
Marketing Leadership & Brand Positioning: Develop and implement marketing strategies that effectively communicate the company's vision, products, and services to a wide range of stakeholders in the energy transition sector. Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, public relations, and thought leadership initiatives, to raise brand awareness and drive customer engagement. Collaborate with product development and operations teams to ensure the company's offerings are clearly differentiated in the market and meet customer demands. Ensure consistency of messaging across all marketing materials, campaigns, and channels, ensuring alignment with the company's values, mission, and sustainability goals.
Financial Management & Reporting: Develop and manage the budgets for sales, business development, and marketing activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with the company's financial goals. Regularly track and report on sales performance, marketing ROI, and business development results to the executive team, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Optimize resource allocation across sales, marketing, and business development initiatives to maximize impact and return on investment.
Sustainability & Industry Advocacy: Represent the company at industry conferences, forums, and events to enhance visibility, build relationships, and stay at the forefront of energy transition developments. Stay informed of market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements within the energy transition sector, ensuring the company's offerings remain competitive and aligned with market demands. Advocate for the company's commitment to sustainability and clean energy solutions through thought leadership and public engagement.
