Business Development Lead

Title: Business Development Lead - Retail Design and Build

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 5 - 8 years (Retail Design / Design Industry)

OVERVIEW

The Business Development Lead will be responsible for converting marketing leads into business opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leverage personal and professional networks to identify and engage potential clients.
  • Work on marketing-generated leads by initiating conversations and building client relationships.
  • Conduct structured conversations with clients to uncover needs and translate them into opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Co-Founder and design teams to develop proposals and pitches.
  • Support pricing structures, business cases, and project approaches.
  • Track leads and opportunities in a structured pipeline, providing regular updates.
  • Work closely with marketing, design, and delivery teams for seamless client service

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail expansion, store development, or business partnerships.
  • Understanding how brands evaluate and select design/build partners.
  • 5–8 years of BD or client services experience in retail design/fit-out.
  • Proven track record of developing and converting opportunities
  • Relationship-building and networking ability.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand creative direction and translate it into opportunities.
  • Commercial acumen for pricing and proposals.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; CRM knowledge a plus
