Head Development

Responsibilities:

• Lead Dev Squad Activities: o Provide leadership to the development squad (Dev Squad), ensuring efficient and collaborative workflows. o Foster a positive team culture that encourages innovation and excellence.

• Point of Contact: o Act as the single point of contact for Development Practice Expertise. o Provide coaching and mentoring, offer coding technology advice, and contribute to career growth roadmaps for Dev Squad members.

• Content Management: o Develop and maintain relevant content for the Dev Squad, covering processes, behaviors, and consultancy practices. o Create and update training plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and audit materials.

• Line Management: o Manage and mentor the DevSecOps team, ensuring their professional development and growth.

• DevSecOps Tooling: o Oversee and be responsible for the effective utilization of DevSecOps tools such as ADO, Co-Pilot, Sonar Cube, and Snyk.
• DevSecOps Processes: o Manage and optimize key DevSecOps processes, including 4-week and intraday release processes.
• Client Consultancy: o Provide expert support to clients on DevSecOps matters, offering valuable insights and solutions.
• Onboarding: o Design comprehensive onboarding content and plans for new Dev Squad members.
• Recruitment Support: o Assist in the recruitment process, ensuring the onboarding of associates aligns with best practices within the DevSecOps domain.

Must-Have Skills:

o Leadership and Collaboration: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide the team towards achieving project goals. Strong collaboration skills to foster a cooperative and productive environment within the squad.

• DevOps Proficiency: Extensive knowledge and practical experience in implementing DevOps best practices within a Microsoft ecosystem. Ability to streamline development workflows using tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Terraform/Bicep, YAML Pipelines, PowerShell Scripts, etc. ensuring seamless integration from code commit to deployment.
• Release Management: Experience in overseeing end-to-end release management processes, ensuring smooth and reliable software releases. Knowledge of version control systems and deployment strategies tailored to the insurance industry's regulatory requirements.

Good-to-Have Skills:

o Development Expertise: Proficient in the Microsoft technology stack, including but not limited to .NET, C#, and Azure Cloud services. Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable applications.

o Cybersecurity Expertise: Practical experience of security tools and protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
- Insurance Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance business processes and industry-specific challenges. Ability to align the unique demands and compliance standards of the insurance sector with development and DevSecOps practices.

Knowledge
• Must-Have Knowledge: o DevSecOps Best Practices: Understanding of DevSecOps principles and best practices, with a focus on integrating security measures seamlessly into the development lifecycle. Expertise with cybersecurity standards and practices relevant to the insurance domain.

o Microsoft Technology Stack: Expertise in leveraging Azure services for building and deploying cloud-native applications. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft platforms, frameworks, and especially development tools.

Good-to-Have Knowledge:

o Insurance Industry Standards: Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards relevant to the insurance domain. Awareness of emerging technologies and trends shaping the future of the insurance industry.
