About the Role

We are looking for highly skilled
ServiceNow CMDB Integration Specialists
with strong hands-on experience in
CMDB architecture, REST API integrations, and ITSM modules
. The ideal candidate should have
4+ years of exclusive experience working on ServiceNow CMDB
, with in-depth knowledge of backend tables, integration mechanisms, and data modeling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain the
    Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
    in
    ServiceNow
    .
  • Manage
    REST API integrations
    with third-party systems and ensure seamless data synchronization.
  • Collaborate with IT and Infrastructure teams to ensure
    data accuracy, completeness, and compliance
    within CMDB.
  • Create, manage, and optimize
    ITIL processes
    and related
    ServiceNow workflows
    .
  • Develop
    custom scripts
    (JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, SQL, Bash, Git) for automation and data transformation.
  • Utilize
    Docker
    for deploying and managing applications and services where required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to CMDB performance and integrations.
  • Provide technical guidance, best practices, and mentoring to junior team members.

Mandatory Screening Points (Initial Validation)

Before progressing a candidate, ensure the following:

  1. CMDB Table Knowledge:

  2. Ask if they know the
    backend tables
    in CMDB (e.g.,
    Asset
    ,
    Network
    ,
    Application
    tables).

  3. If yes, request
    examples
    and how these appear in the
    list view
    within ServiceNow.

  4. Integration Experience:

  5. Validate with
    2–3 specific examples
    of CMDB integrations they have executed (REST APIs, third-party tools, etc.).

  6. Ensure candidate has
    exclusive CMDB integration experience
    , not just general ServiceNow modules.

  7. Experience Check:

  8. Must have
    4+ years of relevant CMDB-specific experience
    (not just overall ServiceNow experience).

  9. Currently working on
    ServiceNow CMDB integrations
    , not other modules.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with
    ServiceNow CMDB
    – architecture, CI classes, discovery, and reconciliation.
  • Expertise in
    REST/SOAP API integrations
    and data synchronization.
  • Sound knowledge of
    backend CMDB tables
    (Asset, Network, Application, etc.).
  • Strong scripting and automation experience using
    JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, SQL, Bash
    , and
    Git
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Docker
    and related deployment processes.
  • Good understanding of
    ITIL processes
    and
    ServiceNow ITSM modules
    .

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – CMDB or ITSM.
  • Experience in managing large-scale CMDB environments and integrations.
  • Exposure to
    ITOM / Discovery / Asset Management
    modules in ServiceNow.
