Role Overview:

We are seeking a creative and skilled Pastry Chef to lead our dessert section and create exceptional pastries, cakes, and confections that delight our guests. This role is perfect for someone passionate about the art of baking and who thrives in a dynamic, high-quality culinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dessert Creation: Develop and execute an array of pastries, desserts, and baked goods that align with Olegio's European theme.
  • Menu Innovation: Design seasonal and special occasion dessert menus to enhance guest experiences.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all pastry products meet the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Ingredient Management: Source quality ingredients, monitor inventory, and minimize waste.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to coordinate dessert production with overall service.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized pastry station and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor junior staff in pastry techniques and ensure consistency in preparation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or patisserie.
  • Expertise in European pastry and dessert techniques.
  • Creativity and passion for developing unique and memorable desserts.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
