We are looking for a skilled Indian Commis to join our team, with 2-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and preparing Indian cuisine.
Roles and Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, and tandoori items.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with other chefs to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Develop new recipes and menus to keep culinary offerings fresh.
- Manage inventory of spices, herbs, and other ingredients used in Indian cooking.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commis or Chef de Partie in an Indian restaurant or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and menu planning.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances used in Indian cooking.
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
