Role Overview

We are looking for a
Business Development Manager (BFSI)
with at least 5 years of experience selling to NBFCs, banks, MFIs, or insurance companies to join our growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Understands BFSI workflows deeply
  • Loves field sales, pitching, and closing
  • Wants to be a key contributor in an early tech startup
  • Is excited to sell an AI-driven digital transformation platform that changes how BFSI sales teams operate
  • Brings genuine curiosity about modern tech products and the evolving future of sales operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting → demos → proposals → negotiation → closure
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline across NBFCs, banks, MFIs, and credit societies
  • Conduct high-impact product demos and communicate ROI clearly
  • Collaborate with founders to shape GTM, pricing models, and customer strategy
  • Maintain disciplined CRM tracking, sales reporting, and forecasting
  • Build and nurture senior-level relationships across BFSI organisations
  • Represent alfaEdge at key industry forums, conferences, and partner events

Requirements

  • 5+ years of BFSI sales experience
    (NBFCs, banks, MFIs, lending, insurance, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of BFSI sales operations and decision-making structures
  • Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to sell AI-driven or tech-enabled solutions
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable traveling extensively for meetings and demos
  • Must be comfortable with Malayalam and Tamil

Good to Have

  • Experience selling SaaS-like or fintech products
  • Early-stage startup experience
  • Strong network in BFSI leadership
