Key missions of the position:
Manage a customer or a portfolio of customers and be the single point of contact for customers. Grow business with his/her customer, monitor timely execution of orders, product performance, payment collection and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for customer, and the prevalent authority on all customer issues
- Champion a customer-centric culture across the company
- Secure and regularly measure customer satisfaction
- Grow business by selling existing/new products to existing and new customers to maximize revenue and profits
- Contribute to negotiations during tender phase
- Contribute to the success of the Order execution, in partnership with team in the Head Quarters.
- Identify new business opportunities with his/her customers, identify customer needs, gather customers' key data including budgets
- Share customer information with relevant stake holders at Head Quarters.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions with the customer for sale of new products/services.
- Identify customer's decision-making process and lobby with main stakeholders
- Provide necessary inputs to the tendering team for preparing a technically compliant and commercially competitive bid.
- Keep relevant teams at headquarters informed about tender status, progress of blocking issues and Contribute during the negotiation phase
- Negotiate and agree any variation orders or contractual change
- Coordinate with headquarters for timely execution of orders thus avoiding any financial loses and gaining customer satisfaction.
- Secure documents pertaining to cash collection and collect the cash against the sales made within shortest possible time.
- Apply WABTEC rules on ethics and compliances in all customer management activities
Education
- Must have Graduate Degree in Engineering or Business field is an added advantage
- Master of Business Administration or in Engineering
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years' experience with Indian Railways
- Should have extensive experience in navigating through customer requirements
- Should have hands on experience on activities pertaining to generation of E Dispatch Notes, Submission of Bills, Resolving Warranty Rejection cases etc in IREPS
- Build strong relationships with customers, government authorities, and internal stakeholders
- Gain knowledge of competitors' strengths, weaknesses and offerings, to be able to defeat competition and convince the customer of WABTEC's value
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making
- Proactive and efficient responses to pressing issues and challenges
- Aptitude in communicating, public speaking and interpersonal skills
- Resilient and able to deliver operationally in a demanding and changing environment
- Strong ability to convince, influence & persuade
Languages
- Must have strong command over written and spoken English
- Must know spoken Hindi and Bengali
- Tamil, Telugu and Kannada will be an advantage
