Business Development Executive

Job Purpose
The Business Development Agent will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and onboarding new distributors and wholesale partners for Prism Industries' ceiling fan product line. This role is dedicated to growing the company's market reach by building strong B2B relationships and increasing territory coverage.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and research potential distributors and wholesalers in target regions across India.
• Approach and pitch Prism Industries' product portfolio to prospective partners.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads using market research, trade directories, and local business networks.
• Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations with potential partners to finalize distributorship agreements.
• Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to support partner onboarding and market activation campaigns.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning.
• Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities and report progress to management weekly.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly distributor acquisition targets set by the company.
Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience in business development, channel sales, or B2B client acquisition, preferably in electrical appliances or FMCG sectors.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple outreach efforts simultaneously.
• Knowledge of regional markets and distribution channels.
• Basic understanding of wholesale pricing, margin structures, and retail networks.
• Willingness to travel extensively to meet potential partners.
Performance Metrics
• Number of new distributors & wholesalers onboarded per month.
• Growth of coverage area in targeted regions.
• Volume of orders from newly acquired partners in the first 3–6 months.
• Retention rate of partners within the first year.
Compensation
• Fixed monthly salary plus commission/incentives based on distributor acquisition and sales volume performance.
