Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for smart water and gas metering solutions in North India, focusing particularly on water utilities and CGD companies.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in utilities and CGD firms, including procurement heads and technical teams.
- Drive consultative solution sales by tailoring metering offerings to customer requirements, addressing both technical and commercial needs.
- Collaborate internally between technical, project delivery, and service teams to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing support for metering projects
- Represent the organization at regional and national trade shows, utility events, and CGD/urban infrastructure conferences to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
- Track market trends, regulatory changes (like Opex/Capex frameworks, digitization mandates, and policy shifts), as well as competitor offerings to inform business strategy.
- Drive preparation and coordination for bids, RFPs, and documentation required for government or large commercial proposals.
Candidate Profile
- 5-10 years experience in business development, sales, or technical solutioning within utility metering, CGD, or smart infrastructure domains.
- Strong professional network among northern Indian water utilities and CGD companies is highly preferred.
- Bachelors in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Energy); MBA or management qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and present to senior client audiences and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills in both technical and commercial contexts.
- Willingness to travel across North India for client meetings, partnerships, and events.
Location and Sector Focus
- Base location: NCR (Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida).
- Target sectors: Water utilities (municipal and private), CGD (city gas) companies, and Residential projects in North India.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in metering (water, gas, smart meters), IoT/IIoT, SaaS offerings for utilities, or large-scale infrastructure solution sales.
- Proven success with consultative sales and closing large contracts, ideally within utility or CGD segments.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines affecting utilities/meters in India.
- Prior experience representing firms at expos, industry events, and client seminars.
