Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tender Manager with strong expertise in tender identification, bidding strategy, and government procurement processes. The candidate should have a solid understanding of commercial, financial, and legal aspects of tenders, with experience in sales-driven tender management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Identification & Analysis: Proactively identify, evaluate, and monitor tender opportunities across platforms (GeM, e-procurement portals, etc.). Assess alignment with company capabilities, scope, and business objectives.
- Bid Planning & Strategy: Develop and execute winning bid strategies to maximize success rates. Coordinate with management to define pricing, commercial terms, and negotiation strategies.
- Document Preparation & Submission: Prepare, review, and compile compliant tender documents. Ensure timely submission of bids via GeM portal and other e-procurement channels.
- Commercial, Legal & Financial Analysis: Interpret tender documents to understand commercial, contractual, and financial implications. Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (sales, legal, finance, technical) to gather required inputs. Coordinate with vendors and partners for quotations, technical documents, and compliance requirements.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to company policies, government regulations, and tender compliance requirements. Minimize legal and financial risks through due diligence.
- GEM & MPE Procurement: Manage procurement and bidding activities on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and other relevant procurement platforms. Stay updated on amendments, policies, and practices in government procurement.
- Sales & Business Development Support: Leverage tendering activities to contribute to revenue growth. Collaborate with sales teams for pricing strategy and customer engagement.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of GeM portal and government procurement processes
- Proven experience in tendering, bidding, and proposal management
- Good commercial, financial, and legal acumen
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and e-tendering portals
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
- MBA / PG in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Sales (preferred)
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in tender management, bidding, or procurement
- Prior experience in sales/tender sales will be an added advantage
