Role & responsibilities

Project Identification & Lead Generation

  • Identify upcoming infrastructure, utility, industrial, and power transmission/distribution projects.
  • Track project lifecycles from concept to award stage using government portals, EPC contacts, and market intelligence.
  • Build and maintain a robust project sales pipeline (HV substations, transmission lines, metro, railways, etc.).

  • Getting approvals in various DISCOMs, PSUs etc.

  • Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with:

  • Conduct technical presentations to consultants for product approvals and specification inclusion.

  • Tender & Specification Management

  • Monitor tender opportunities via government portals, e-tender platforms, and consultant networks.

  • Ensure technical compliance and documentation for bid submissions.

  • Influence BOQs/specifications to favor companys cable solutions (both LT and HV).

  • Marketing & Brand Positioning

  • Plan and execute product promotion strategies targeting project stakeholders.

  • Highlight product certifications in marketing campaigns.

  • Represent the company at industry expos, consultant meets, and technical seminars.

  • Coordination & Execution

  • Liaise with internal teams (Production, QA/QC, Logistics, Tendering) for smooth project execution.

  • Ensure delivery commitments, technical clarifications, and installation support as needed.

  • Market Intelligence & MIS

  • Provide competitor analysis pricing, specifications, supply patterns in projects.

  • Maintain updated records of project pipelines, sales forecasts, and key accounts in CRM/MIS tools.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical field.
  • MBA in Marketing / Project Management is an added advantage.
  • 4-8 years of experience in B2B / Project Sales in cables or related electrical products.
  • Solid understanding of both LT and HV cable standards, applications, and installation environments.
  • Experience working with EPCs, utilities, DISCOMs, and large infrastructure developers.
  • Open to travel
