Role Overview

We are seeking a highly driven
Cloud Sales Professional
with strong experience in selling cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) to
Government and Public Sector
clients. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in government business, strong relationships with decision-makers, and the ability to drive end-to-end cloud sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities1. Government Business Development

  • Identify, target, and acquire government accounts across central, state, PSU, and smart city projects.
  • Build and nurture relationships with government CXOs, IT heads, procurement officials, and system integrators.
  • Track government tenders, RFPs, empanelments, GeM listings, and cloud purchase frameworks.

2. Cloud Solution Selling (AWS / Azure / GCP)

  • Understand customer requirements and propose suitable cloud solutions including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, security, migration, and managed services.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and architecture teams to design cloud solutions and create winning proposals.
  • Present product capabilities, prepare demos, conduct PoCs, and position value propositions effectively.

3. Sales & Revenue Ownership

  • Own full sales cycle: lead generation → qualification → proposal → negotiation → closure.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Maintain and update sales pipeline, forecasts, and CRM reports.

4. Account Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build long-term strategic relationships with government clients and partner ecosystem.
  • Work with OEMs (AWS, Microsoft, Google) and government-approved partners to co-sell and execute projects.
  • Ensure smooth project handover to delivery and maintain customer satisfaction.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to government procurement norms, compliance policies, and tendering regulations.
  • Coordinate documentation for proposals, RFP responses, empanelments, and technical submissions.

Key Requirements

  • Experience:
    3–8+ years in Cloud/IT/SaaS sales with at least 3
    years selling to Government/PSUs
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud offerings
    .
  • Deep knowledge of government procurement cycles, tendering, and RFP processes.
  • Existing relationships in Government IT departments, PSUs, SIs, and NIC/NeGD/MeitY (preferred).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams including OEMs, channel partners, and pre-sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
