Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with offshore and global teams to understand project scope, including analysis domain, boundary conditions, material models, and types of analysis.
  • Act as a key coordinator across multiple groups such as Design, Structures and Aerodynamics, and to gather project-specific inputs.
  • Manage multiple projects independently, demonstrating strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Review and interpret technical presentations and analysis results, and effectively communicate findings to customers.
  • Lead and support Design and Technical Discipline reviews.
  • Ensure 100% quality and timely delivery, especially in handling NCs, QNs, and OTCs.
  • Conduct project review meetings to share lessons learned and best practices to enhance team performance and quality.
  • Provide alternative solutions for field issues and support root cause analysis.
  • Drive process improvements through the development of automation tools.
  • Perform design modifications and validate them using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Exhibit strong technical, project management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Mandatory skills:

  • 6 years of experience in stress analysis of mechanical aerospace components using ANSYS APDL/Workbench, HyperMesh, or OptiStruct.
  • Proficient in F&DT and lifing processes for structural components.
  • Experience handling NCs, QNs, and OTCs.
  • Solid understanding of FEA theory, solid mechanics, machine design, and fatigue analysis.
  • Skilled in 2D & 3D finite element modeling (Hexahedral & Tetrahedral elements).
  • Expertise in linear and non-linear static stress analysis, modal, harmonic, and transient dynamic analysis using ANSYS tools.
  • Knowledge of strength, stability, durability, and damage tolerance analysis.
  • Ability to develop/modify APDL macros and build/update FE models in HyperMesh.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with structural component lifing tools.
  • Experience in scripting languages such as MATLAB, VB, TCL/Tk, or Python.
  • Knowledge of hand calculations, engineering standards, and design codes.
