By focusing on financial and digital inclusion, Sahaj Retail provides a range of online services to underserved rural communities, thereby enhancing their economic empowerment, quality of life, and livelihood opportunities. The company operates through ICT-enabled Sahaj Kendras, managed by Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), to deliver services such as government-to-citizen (G2C) offerings, financial services, utility bill payments, mobile and DTH top-ups, e-Learning, and FASTag services. With a strong emphasis on community-driven networks, Sahaj Retail fosters human, digital, and physical infrastructure to ensure efficient access to rural India.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Business Development Executive based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, generating leads, managing client accounts, and nurturing client relationships. Responsibilities include collaboration with various stakeholders, executing business strategies, expanding market reach, and maintaining seamless communication to drive growth and impact. The ideal candidate will contribute to Sahaj Retail's mission of fostering economic and digital inclusion across rural India.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience and expertise in New Business Development and Lead Generation
  • Strong knowledge and skills in Business Development and Account Management
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Prior experience in rural or social development industries is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and market research tools is a plus
