Area Sales Manager

Role & responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with Indian Railways, including IRCTC, pantry, catering contractors, and other railway departments.
- Ensure regular follow-up with key railway stakeholders for new tenders, rate contracts, and order execution.
2. Channel Management
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing railway contractors, canteen operators, and distributors managing railway supplies.
- Drive product placement, visibility, and range expansion across designated railway zones and divisions.
- Coordinate with distributors for timely stock availability, billing, and logistics management.
3. Tender & Institutional Sales
- Track and participate in tenders floated by Indian Railways, IRCTC, and catering agencies.
- Coordinate tender documentation, pricing, and post-tender follow-ups.
4. Coordination & Operations
- Liaise with internal teams (production, logistics, accounts) to ensure smooth order processing and supply chain efficiency.
- Handle railway inspection and sampling requirements as per tender norms.
- Resolve operational issues related to billing, delivery, or product quality.
5. Reporting & Performance Management
- Submit weekly/monthly sales reports, market updates, and performance reviews.
- Monitor primary and secondary sales, stock levels, and outstanding payments.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and growth objectives for the Railway channel.
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in FMCG industry in CSD/CPC or Railways or Horeca sales.
