Role Purpose
The Area Sales Executive Modern Trade will be responsible for achieving sales, visibility, and distribution targets for Emami products in assigned Modern Trade outlets. The role focuses on in-store execution, merchandising, relationship building with store managers & distributors, and ensuring smooth implementation of trade promotions and new launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly sales targets in volume and value for assigned Modern Trade outlets.
- Ensure proper merchandising, visibility, and share of shelf as per company guidelines.
- Execute promotions, schemes, and product launches at the store level.
- Maintain strong relationships with store managers, merchandisers, and promoters.
- Monitor stock availability, replenishment, and ensure fill rate hygiene.
- Track sales performance, competitor activities, and share actionable insights with the ASM.
- Support brand activation and in-store activities to drive consumer engagement.
- Ensure adherence to commercial and trade policies at the store level.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate / MBA (preferred) with specialization in Sales & Marketing.
- Experience: At least 3 years in FMCG / Retail Sales, preferably handling Modern Trade.
- Having work experience in D-Mart & Cash & Carry.
- Having Modern Trade handling experience.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of merchandising and in-store execution.
- Result-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
