Position:
Area Manager (Total 5 open position)

Location:
New Delhi, Mumbai, Noida/Lucknow, Kolkata & Bangalore

Reports to:
Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Team:
Business Development Executives (BDEs)

Role Objective:
To drive sales and distribution of Alkem's OTC portfolio in the assigned area by managing a team of BDEs, ensuring availability, visibility, and execution in General Trade and Modern Trade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.

  • Ensure numeric and weighted distribution across GT outlets.

  • Recruit, train, and manage BDEs for effective market coverage.

  • Conduct daily market visits and review BDE performance.

  • Ensure planogram compliance, visibility, and merchandising in stores.

  • Implement trade promotions and schemes effectively.

  • Build strong relationships with distributors and retailers.

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.

  • Submit daily/weekly sales reports and market insights to RSM.

-Appoint Distributors as per company policy and coverage requirement.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of General Trade and In-Store Promotions.

  • Team leadership and people management skills.

  • Negotiation and relationship-building ability.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Tools for Report Building, Data Gathering and Presentations

Qualifications:

  • Graduate (MBA Preferred)

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in FMCG/OTC sales in GT
