Job Description – Area Sales Manager (Pharma)
Position: Area Sales Manager
Industry: Pharmaceuticals / Ayurveda /
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets in the assigned territory.
- Appoint, train, and manage a team of Medical Representatives (MRs) / Territory Sales Executives.
- Ensure regular doctor calls, pharmacy visits, and distributor engagement.
- Develop and execute area sales strategies to increase product penetration.
- Monitor competitor activities and share market insights with management.
- Conduct fieldwork with MRs to ensure effective product detailing.
- Maintain strong relationships with doctors, chemists, and stockists.
- Ensure timely collections and distributor payments.
- Plan CME/doctor engagement activities in coordination with marketing.
Eligibility / Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in pharma sales,
- Strong knowledge of territory, doctor network, and distribution channels.
- Good communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
Compensation
- Fixed Salary: ₹35,000–₹60,000/month (depending on experience & region).
- Incentives: Performance-based monthly/quarterly bonuses.
- Allowances: Travel, communication, and daily field allowances.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40, ₹60,000.00 per month
