Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite unsecured loans on a sample basis, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate loan applications, making decisions to approve or reject based on creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and analysis of documents such as bank statements, KYC, etc.
  • Identify potential fraud or fraud patterns within the underwritten pool and take appropriate actions.
  • Monitor and flag any red flags arising during the course of policy implementation.
  • Analyze customer documents to ensure alignment with credit policies.
  • Maintain high underwriting standards across all business segments.
  • Identify potential portfolio risks and work with stakeholders to ensure timely remedial measures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of 1-5 Years as a Loan Underwriter for unsecured personal loans, ideally within a bank, NBFC, Fintech, or MNC in the credit department.
  • Strong knowledge of credit assessment, risk analysis, and loan evaluation.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection techniques and experience in identifying inconsistencies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to assess creditworthiness accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high standards of underwriting quality.
