Job Description:

Credit Manager with experience in chit funds or financial services to oversee the credit

underwriting, risk assessment, and portfolio monitoring of subscribers. The ideal candidate

will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of members, ensuring compliance with

company policies, and supporting healthy portfolio growth while minimizing defaults.

Qualifications and Skills:

Graduate / Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in credit assessment or underwriting in Chit Funds /

NBFC / Microfinance / Banking sector.


• Evaluate and underwrite chit lifting proposals, verify financials, and assess repayment

capacity of subscribers.


• Review balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial documents for

credit analysis.


• Conduct field verification, business profile assessment, and reference checks.


• Monitor subscriber accounts, identify early warning signals, and recommend

preventive actions.


• Prepare and submit credit appraisal reports and recommendations to the management.


• Coordinate with collection, legal, and operations teams for credit and recovery matters.


• Maintain MIS reports, credit files, and ensure adherence to internal credit policies and

chit fund regulations.


• Support in designing credit policies, approval matrix, and risk management framework.
