Operations Manager – Banking & Loans (Solar Projects)

Department: Operations / Finance

Location: Coimbatore

Reporting To: Business Head / Managing Director

Job Objective:

To oversee and manage all banking and financial operations related to solar project loans. Ensure timely coordination between customers, banks, and internal teams to streamline loan processing, disbursement, and documentation for solar installations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Loan Coordination & Processing

  • Handle end-to-end operations for solar loan applications through partnered banks and NBFCs.
  • Ensure accurate collection, verification, and submission of customer KYC and project documents.
  • Track loan status and coordinate with bank representatives for faster approvals and disbursements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banking partners to resolve operational or documentation issues.

2. Customer & Sales Support

  • Support sales teams in guiding customers on available loan schemes and eligibility criteria.
  • Coordinate with customers to explain loan procedures and assist in completing formalities.
  • Maintain transparency and timely updates to customers about loan progress and disbursement stages.

3. Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure all documents (sanction letters, invoices, project completion certificates, etc.) are properly maintained.
  • Verify compliance with loan partner requirements and internal audit standards.
  • Prepare reports for management on loan performance, pending cases, and partner efficiency.

4. Bank Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple banks/NBFCs.
  • Negotiate better terms, streamline processes, and organize periodic review meetings.
  • Ensure timely payments, reconciliation, and resolve any financial discrepancies.

5. Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Develop and optimize internal processes for better loan management and turnaround time.
  • Use tools like Zoho CRM/Books or Excel dashboards to track all loan cases.
  • Generate MIS reports on approvals, rejections, and disbursement summaries for management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of solar project financing and retail loan processes.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of bank documentation and credit operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel / Zoho CRM / Google Sheets.
  • Detail-oriented with good follow-up and multitasking ability.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Business / Engineering (MBA preferred).
  • 1–5 years of experience in banking operations, preferably in solar / renewable energy loans or retail finance.

Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Loan approval & disbursement turnaround time.
  • Number of successful disbursements per month.
  • Customer satisfaction on loan processing.
  • Accuracy of documentation and compliance rate.
  • Bank relationship score / partner feedback.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20, ₹30,000.00 per month
