  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics or related field.
  • Advanced certifications preferred (ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, etc.).
  • Experience
  • 7–12 years in IT operations and support, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing / steel / heavy industries IT infrastructure and ERP environment is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Customized ERP) used in steel industries.
  • Expertise in hardware, networking, firewalls, servers, data backup & recovery, and cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience in IT helpdesk management tools and ITSM practices.
  • Familiarity with automation systems, IoT devices, and integration of IT systems with plant machinery.
  • Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership & team management.
  • Good communication and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to coordinate with production, accounts, procurement, and senior management.
  • Compliance & Standards
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, data protection laws, cybersecurity protocols, and internal IT audit practices.

Job Description (J – Responsibilities)IT Infrastructure & Support

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure (servers, networks, internet, firewalls, CCTV, biometric systems, etc.).
  • Oversee hardware & software support across plant, offices, and warehouses.
  • Ensure 24×7 IT support for mission-critical production operations.

ERP & Applications

  • Support and troubleshoot ERP systems, ensuring integration with production, accounts, inventory, and supply chain.
  • Coordinate with vendors/ERP consultants for upgrades, patches, or issue resolution.

User Support & Helpdesk

  • Manage IT helpdesk team to resolve user complaints promptly.
  • Set and monitor SLAs (Service Level Agreements) for IT issue resolution.
  • Conduct IT training sessions for staff on applications, security awareness, and productivity tools.

Data & Security

  • Ensure data backup policies, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity systems are in place.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures (anti-virus, intrusion detection, VPN access, etc.).

Coordination & Projects

  • Lead IT-related projects such as new system implementations, plant automation integration, or ERP migrations.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical/Electrical/Production teams for IT-enabled maintenance & monitoring systems.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Prepare and manage IT budget, including AMC contracts, licenses, and vendor payments.
  • Negotiate with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants for cost-effective solutions.
