Job Description – Business Development Executive (BDE) – General Trade
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and on board new distributors, retailers, and channel partners in the GT market.
- Achieve monthly sales, distribution, and outlet expansion targets.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive market penetration.
- Ensure proper visibility, availability, and placement of products in the assigned territory.
- Build long-term relationships with retailers and wholesalers to maximize secondary sales.
- Track competitor activities, schemes, and pricing and provide regular market intelligence.
- Execute trade promotions, activations, and merchandising as per company guidelines.
- Support distributor partners in order generation, stock management, and credit compliance.
- Regularly visit markets to identify gaps, new opportunities, and emerging business trends.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly sales & activity reports to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1–3 years of experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods / General Trade sales or business development.
- Strong understanding of GT distribution networks and retail dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office / CRM / sales reporting tools.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
