Job Description – Business Development Executive (BDE) – General Trade

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and on board new distributors, retailers, and channel partners in the GT market.
  • Achieve monthly sales, distribution, and outlet expansion targets.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive market penetration.
  • Ensure proper visibility, availability, and placement of products in the assigned territory.
  • Build long-term relationships with retailers and wholesalers to maximize secondary sales.
  • Track competitor activities, schemes, and pricing and provide regular market intelligence.
  • Execute trade promotions, activations, and merchandising as per company guidelines.
  • Support distributor partners in order generation, stock management, and credit compliance.
  • Regularly visit markets to identify gaps, new opportunities, and emerging business trends.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly sales & activity reports to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1–3 years of experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods / General Trade sales or business development.
  • Strong understanding of GT distribution networks and retail dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / CRM / sales reporting tools.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
