Role & responsibilities

  1. Location Strategy: Define and refresh expansion plans (Cities x Formats x Brands) along with timelines, in consultation with key stakeholders.

  2. Contribute to cross-functional work teams and work closely with Strategy, Marketing and Operations in finalizing expansion plans

  3. Bring real estate and developer perspective into the planning discussions and industry knowledge to strengthen plans.

  4. Develop and execute the retail growth strategy across regions and formats (malls, high streets, airports, etc.).

  5. Identify and evaluate retail locations in identified cities based on brand fit, target demographics, market demand, footfall, etc.

  6. Developing strong network in F&B Retail/ Real Estate ecosystem (Developers, brokers, intel providers) to: (a) Gain market intel (b) Have access to quality retail supply.

  7. Developing inventory of suitable locations, including filtering quality sites through a strong site evaluation framework.

  8. Negotiation and execution of commercials and key terms, executing LOI, LLA and obtaining necessary NOCs from Landlord for project execution

  9. After Support: Support BD Teams/ Ops Team with any escalated/ service related aspects that need to be taken up with the Developer/ Landlords leasing/ management team.

  10. Set and monitor KPIs for new store performance.

  11. Track performance of new stores and post-launch results vs. projections.

  12. Maintain dashboards and reports for leadership on pipeline, cost, and performance.

  13. Continuously optimize site selection criteria based on performance data.

  14. Set goals, Coach, and hold the assigned direct reports / team members accountable for performance.

  15. Provide the necessary support for ensuring all the development plans of the direct reports / team members are implemented as per agreed timelines.

  16. Sponsor the direct reports / team members to different types of learning interventions

Preferred candidate profile

  • 12+ yrs of experience in business development in F&B industry
  • Qualification: Any graduation
