We're seeking a General Manager to pioneer our GFS solutions business within the crucial Government & Utilities sectors across India.
You will have the autonomy to forge key alliances, understand nuanced public needs, and unlock significant growth in a market critical to national development. This pivotal position demands a unique blend of strategic foresight, deep commercial acumen, and an unwavering commitment to ethical engagement.
You'll be instrumental in:
- Developing and executing a tailored Go-to-Market strategy for GFS solutions in the public sector.
- Cultivating and leveraging deep networks within government bodies, municipal corporations, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
- Driving aggressive revenue growth and securing significant market share by winning large-scale, impactful projects.
What You'll Do: Influence, Connect & Deliver Essential Infrastructure
As the General Manager Government & Utilities, you will be the key architect of our public sector engagement:
- Lead sales and business development efforts to achieve ambitious revenue and profitability targets for GFS solutions in Smart Cities, AMRUT, Jal Jeevan Mission, Fire Water & Utility Storage for PSUs, and other government-led infrastructure initiatives.
- Identify, qualify, and secure high-value projects, owning the entire sales cycle from early-stage engagement and policy advocacy to tendering, negotiation, and successful contract closure.
- Build and nurture robust, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, technical committees, and influencers across various central, state, and municipal government departments and PSUs.
- Serve as HLE Glascoat's trusted ambassador, providing expert technical and commercial insights to tailor solutions that meet specific public sector requirements and showcase the unparalleled value of GFS technology.
- Expertly navigate the nuances of public procurement processes, tenders, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance and maximizing win rates.
- Monitor public policy changes, funding allocations, and national initiatives to proactively identify new opportunities and inform our strategic positioning.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams (engineering, legal, project management) to ensure flawless project execution and uphold HLE Glascoat's reputation for excellence.

The Government & Utilities sector is the bedrock of India's development, presenting a multi-crore opportunity where your leadership will directly shape national infrastructure:
- Smart Cities, AMRUT, Jal Jeevan Mission: These flagship government programs are increasingly specifying modular GFS solutions for speed, hygiene, durability, and cost-effectiveness in municipal water storage and distribution. You'll be enabling cleaner water access for millions.
- Fire Water & Utility Storage in PSUs and Large Processing Industries: Critical demand from sectors like Cement, Steel, Power, and Refineries, where robust and reliable GFS solutions provide essential safety and operational integrity.
- Modernization Wave: Driving the transition from conventional, high-maintenance storage (MS and RCC tanks) to advanced, low-lifecycle-cost GFS technology in public utilities and state-owned enterprises.
You will be at the heart of delivering transformative storage technology that underpins India's infrastructure development, directly contributing to public welfare and industrial progress.
Your Impact: Key Deliverables (First 12-18 Months) – Shaping National Projects
You'll quickly make your mark and establish a formidable presence by:
- Building a robust, actionable sales pipeline of 15–25 crore specifically for Government & Utilities GFS projects.
- Successfully securing multiple strategic reference projects within key government departments or PSUs, demonstrating our capability and commitment.
- Developing and executing long-term engagement plans for critical government accounts and influential bodies.
- Providing crucial market intelligence to inform our product adaptations and public sector strategy.
- Achieving segment-specific revenue and margin targets, significantly contributing to HLE Glascoat's overall GFS growth.
Who You Are: Experience & Persona
- 8-15 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or key account management within the public sector, infrastructure projects, or B2G (Business-to-Government) sales for industrial capital equipment or large-scale solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully engaging with and securing projects from various government bodies, PSUs, or municipal corporations in India.
- Exceptional relationship-building prowess and a deep, established network within the public sector ecosystem. You instinctively understand the dynamics of public decision-making.
- A highly strategic thinker with the ability to identify complex problems and propose innovative, compliant solutions.
- Strong understanding of public procurement processes, tender management, and contract negotiation within government frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, capable of influencing senior officials and cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, resilient, and resourceful, thriving in an environment that demands persistence and astute stakeholder management.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical preferred).
- An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification in Public Policy/Administration is a distinct advantage.
