A Pest Control Business Development Executive identifies, secures, and retains pest control service clients by generating leads, building relationships, preparing proposals, and meeting sales targets. Key responsibilities include cold calling, market research, developing sales pitches, managing client accounts, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth for the company. Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Actively identify new business opportunities through cold calling, internet research, networking, and market analysis.
- Sales & Business Development: Present and promote the company's pest control services to potential and existing clients, focusing on new business, renewals, and price increases.
- Proposal & Site Audits: Conduct site audits to assess pest control needs and prepare informative proposals for prospective clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster loyalty, encourage repeat business, and identify opportunities for upselling or service expansion.
- Sales Target Achievement: Work towards achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic sales decisions and identify new opportunities.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit timely reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market developments to management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as presales, operations, and management, to ensure effective service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications
- Sales & Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a passion for sales.
- Customer Focus: A customer-first approach with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Market Knowledge: Understanding of market trends and competitor activities.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to make informed strategic decisions.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Education & Experience: A degree is often required, with some employers preferring experience in sales or the pest control industry itself.
