Position: Bakery Sous Chef Location: Base Kitchen, DLF Phase 1, Sector 26, Gurgaon Experience: 4–5 years as CDP or Jr. Sous Chef in bakery/pastry (maximum 7 years) Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days Budget: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 (negotiable based on experience and exposure) Preference: Local candidates from Gurgaon or Delhi/NCR The second round will be a full -day trial at the café. They are looking for someone with strong experience in bulk production, who is creative, efficient, and smart. Job Description Position: Bakery Sous Chef Location: Base Kitchen, Dlf Phase 1, Sector 26, Gurgaon Reporting to: Executive Chef Experience Required: 4–5 years (as CDP or Jr. Sous Chef in bakery/pastry) About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Bakery Sous Chef with a strong foundation in bread making, artisan gooey cookies, and contemporary & innovative desserts. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating modern, trend -driven products suited for a fast -paced QSR -style café chain. You will assist in leading the bakery production, maintaining high quality and consistency, and mentoring junior team members while contributing creatively to new product development. Key Responsibilities: ● Supervise daily bakery operations, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation. ● Develop and innovate new products — from breads and cookies to contemporary plated and café -style desserts — aligned with current trends and brand identity. ● Manage production planning to meet high -volume demands while maintaining efficiency and product integrity. ● Train, guide, and motivate junior bakers and commis to improve technical skills and speed. ● Ensure recipes, techniques, and SOPs are followed across the team for consistency. ● Collaborate with the Head Chef and management to roll out new menu items and seasonal launches. ● Uphold hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in compliance with food safety norms. ● Troubleshoot production challenges and find creative, practical solutions under tight timelines. ● Remain flexible to work across shifts depending on operational requirements. Candidate Profile: ● 4–5 years of solid experience as CDP or Jr. Sous Chef in a professional bakery or café kitchen. ● Strong technical base in breads, cookies, viennoiserie, and modern desserts. ● Passionate about innovation, flavor pairing, and dessert aesthetics. ● A keen eye for emerging dessert and bakery trends. ● Proven ability to work efficiently in high -load, fast -paced environments. ● Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. ● Hands -on trainer with the ability to upskill and mentor team members. ● Positive, solution -oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
