A Bakery Sous Chef assists the Executive Pastry Chef in all aspects of bakery production, including preparing, creating, and executing desserts and baked goods. They also assist in inventory management, staff training, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
- **Production**: Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts, ensuring consistency and quality.
- **Recipe Development**: Assist in developing new recipes and seasonal menu items.
- **Staff Supervision**: Supervise pastry cooks, commis, and kitchen assistants, providing guidance and training.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in managing inventory and ordering of bakery ingredients.
- **Safety and Sanitation**: Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards in the pastry kitchen.
- **Event Support**: Collaborate with banquet and catering teams for special events, providing pastry production support.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Ensure proper operation and maintenance of bakery equipment.
- **Quality Control**: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished products, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
