Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our logistics vertical. This role will focus on acquiring new clients, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across our logistics services, including transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing, and 3PL solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities in the logistics and supply chain sector.
  • Pitch logistics solutions to clients, including customized transportation, warehousing, and value-added services.
  • Build a strong pipeline of qualified leads and close high-value deals.
  • Understand client requirements and coordinate with operations and pricing teams to develop tailored proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs) in line with company guidelines.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategy and capture new opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to represent the company and expand your network.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and market insights to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 4–8 years of experience in business development or sales in the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and acquiring high-value clients.
  • Strong understanding of logistics services including freight (FTL/LTL), 3PL, warehousing, last-mile delivery, etc.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong network and client base in the logistics/supply chain domain is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with logistics software (TMS/WMS)
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CSCMP, APICS) are a plus
  • Experience in B2B consultative sales
  • Knowledge of international logistics (air/ocean freight) if applicable
