Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The CTO will be responsible for overseeing the company's technology strategy, managing software development and product development, and ensuring that the IT architecture aligns with the business goals. The role also includes managing multiple technology projects and leading the IT department. This is a on site role, implying that the position is located in Mohali

Key Responsibilities
1. Technology Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the company's long-term technology vision aligned with business goals.
  • Evaluate and implement technologies that drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
  • Build and maintain a modern, scalable, and secure technology infrastructure.
  • Lead digital transformation and adoption of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, ML, cloud, DevOps, automation).

2. Product Development & Delivery

  • Oversee end-to-end product development lifecycle — from concept, architecture, design, development, and deployment.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products with robust performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with Product Management and Design teams to align tech capabilities with product roadmap and user needs.
  • Implement Agile and DevOps practices to enhance development velocity and quality.

3. Team Building & Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and scale a world-class engineering and technology team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Define and monitor performance metrics for technology teams to ensure accountability and excellence.

4. Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Oversee data security, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
  • Implement strong cybersecurity and risk management protocols.
  • Ensure that systems and platforms meet global regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO standards).

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the CEO, COO, and CPO to align technology initiatives with overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to support customer-centric innovation.
  • Represent technology vision in board meetings, investor discussions, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Software Development and Product Development
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Expertise in IT Strategy and Architecture
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience in the backend office environments is a plus
