Centre Head (Geography Head) - P&L (Andheri)ABOUT THE ROLEThe Centre Head is responsible for strategy, structure, budgets, people, financial outcomes and scorecard metrics.
This role reports to the Business Head of the company and is responsible to build the largest market for the company in India. The person in this role will be involved as a decision maker in all large decisions that are pertaining to short term and long term plans for the company, cost / budget decisions, organization structure & manpower plans, technology & product vision. While the key requirement of their role is to ensure that Centre is delivering as planned; the individual will also have clear responsibility, impact & influence in all areas that impact the success of the organization.
They operate as custodian and owners of company culture and ability of each department to effectively work with one another. Individual at this level will be held 100% accountable for the success of the organization. This is a leadership pipeline position and as the organization grows this role will grow in expectations & complexity.
Roles & Responsibilities:Develops strategic plan by understanding market opportunities; presenting assumptions; creating strategies, plans & objectives for the business unit in Centre (Mumbai). Ensures implementation of the strategy designed to grow the business. develops, reviews, updates and implements plans for Sales, Design, Operations, Financial Performance/Revenue Generation, People Performance and
New Product Development. Communicates strategy and results to the city's employees and drives performance of the team to exceed planned objectives. Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
Increases team's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing development & growth opportunities. Grows the Business in Centre, makes important decisions about Sales Approach and Design development while also leveraging the strengths of Operations & Execution, high-impact work that makes up the core of company's reputation. Drives high quality customer experience in the region.
Participates in formulating and administering overall organizational strategic planning & growth frameworks. Develop & implements long-range company goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives for the long term. Provides inputs to engineering and product to impact the company technology design concepts or new technology used for new or existing business to drive cost reduction, safety, better customer experience and market growth.
Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices. The Ideal CandidateExperience : Minimum of 14 years of experience in Sales & Business DevelopmentEducational Background : Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, MBA (MBA is a plus & not mandatory)Demonstrated track record in achieving new business targets and continually demonstrating application in this key area.Business/commercial acumen on pricing/contract issues. Strong negotiation skills.
Skill and ability to adopt a "consultative" approach to effect problem solving and to explore options which ensure potential within a client account is maximized. Proven ability to create and deliver compelling presentations and collateral to support business development meetingsStrong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to build and strengthen relationships at all levels. A track record of achieving and exceeding targeted business results/KPIs.
