Modern Trade Manager

A Modern Trade Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for key accounts in modern retail channels, such as premium stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets, to achieve growth targets and sales goals. Key duties include managing relationships with clients, negotiating contracts and promotions, overseeing merchandising and product placement, managing a sales team, and analyzing performance to drive profitability.
Core responsibilities
- Strategic planning: Develop and implement sales and account strategies that align with company objectives to drive growth in the modern trade channel.
- Key account management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, including chain stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets.
- Sales and negotiation: Achieve sales targets through effective sales management, negotiation of contracts, and management of promotional activities.
- Merchandising and promotion: Plan and execute in-store promotions, manage shelf space, and ensure proper product placement, visibility, and availability.
- Team leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a sales team, including distributor representatives and merchandisers, to ensure they meet performance goals.
- Performance analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and challenges, and prepare regular performance reports.
- Financial management: Manage sales budgets, track profitability, and ensure proper financial reconciliation with key accounts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹1,200,000.00 per year
