Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans to meet the staffing needs of the company.

  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees to find passive candidates.

  • Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives.

  • Conduct interviews and filter candidates for open positions, including conducting initial phone screens.

  • Manage posting of job openings at college career services, conduct campus recruiting, and work with agencies and external recruiters.

  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need through various sourcing strategies.

  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.

  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

  • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.

  • Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters.

  • Help plan and coordinate the company's internship program.

  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within the company's mission and values.

*Required Skills and Qualifications:*

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.

  • Experience in negotiation, interviewing, and selection processes.
