Job Title: Unit HR Head Retail Store

Location: Mall De Goa, Porvorim, Bardez, Goa

Reporting To: Arear HR Head, Zonal HR Head / Store Manager

Department: Human Resources

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the HR function at the retail store level, ensuring smooth HR operations, employee engagement, compliance, and talent management. The role supports business objectives by fostering a productive and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and HRIS updates.
  • Ensure timely documentation and maintenance of employee records.
  • Coordinate with central HR for policy implementation and updates.

2. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Handle end-to-end recruitment for store-level roles.
  • Conduct onboarding and induction for new joiners.
  • Ensure manpower planning and timely hiring to avoid business disruption.

3. Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives tailored to store staff.
  • Address grievances and ensure a positive work culture.
  • Organize welfare activities and recognition programs.

4. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate skill-building sessions.
  • Support learning initiatives and track training effectiveness.

5. Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, POSH, and other statutory norms.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and support audits.
  • Liaise with local authorities when required.

6. Performance Management

  • Facilitate goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Support managers in handling performance issues and feedback.

  • Ability to manage frontline workforce dynamics
  • Knowledge of retail HR operations and labor laws
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Empathy and people-centric approach

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent
  • 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in retail or customer-facing environments
  • Experience in managing store-level HR independently is preferred
