  • Supplier Communication and Relationship Management:They build and maintain relationships with suppliers, acting as a liaison between the company and its vendors.
  • First Article Inspection (FAI):"SQEs" often oversee the FAI process, ensuring that initial production runs meet quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting:They maintain detailed records of supplier quality performance, including audit reports and corrective action plans.
  • Compliance:They ensure that suppliers comply with relevant regulations, industry standards (like ISO), and company policies.
