Purpose of the Role:

To manage and supervise daily operations of the PCB Assembly section, ensuring achievement of production targets through effective daily, weekly, and monthly planning, PO confirmation, and MIS preparation , to perform data analysis for improving yield, efficiency, and productivity, to lead LCA (Low Cost Automation) initiatives and plan pilot and prototype productions, to monitor implementation of CAPA actions, to ensure strict adherence to quality control, EHS, IMS, and 5S compliance on the shop floor, and to drive continuous improvement while fostering a lean manufacturing culture.

Role & responsibilities

  • Manage achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets as per the production plan for PCB assemblies across all shifts and monitor rejection and initiate appropriate actions with adherence of work instructions in coordination with support functions and in alignment with budgeted figures.
  • Ensure to move process and supplier Rejection daily/weekly/monthly from Shop Floor to Store.
  • Ensure effective manpower planning ,deployment and shift management of Production Supervisors, handle line balancing projects in coordination with the IE team, analyse daily losses and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions, Participate and monitor regular DWM meetings with Production Supervisors, and monitor on-the-job trainings and awareness programs related to Human Rights, POSH, PPE usage, Code of Conduct, and legal compliances.
  • Participate in CFTs (Cross Functional Teams) for quality improvement projects and productivity enhancement initiatives on the shop floor and ensure optimum utilization of available resources.
  • Able to lead the Shift independently and ensure skill enhancement / multiskilling of operators to optimise the productivity. Ensure self-development through Training adherence as per scheduled training.
  • Lead initiatives for the implementation of 5S, Kaizen, CAPA as per defect Analysis and monitor OEE/OLE. Drive performance improvement and waste reduction to achieve operational excellence through Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt) practices.
  • Ensure application of 7QC Tools,5-Why, 6W1H, FMEA to resolve defects and implement CAPA.
  • Monitor material consumption, WIP, and BOM compliance, address any material variance Sys Vs Actual , Adherence of DWM.
  • Execute monthly/quarterly production and inventory plans, support inventory audits.
  • Timely resolution of production hindrances and escalation to the appropriate authorities.
  • Ensure to prepare all audit related documents and present as per requirement.
  • Comply with EHS norms PPE, General Waste/Hazardous waste management and disposal, confined spaces compliances, emergency preparedness, Total employee involvement through Idea generation.
  • Lead absenteeism analysis and attrition control, promote team development and bonding.
  • Maintain production documentation and dashboards using MS Office.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to eliminate workflow barriers and improve output.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with IMS and quality system standards.

Skills & Experience

1 to 6+ years of experience in Electrical/Electronics assembly line production, proficient in MS Office and Excel, strong knowledge of inventory management, BOM, defect analysis, and lean tools (5S, OEE, OLE), skilled in team handling, EHS practices, and basic labour law compliance, sound understanding of IMS, ISO, BIS, ISI, and VSM, exposure to QCFI activities, excellent communication, presentation, and computer skills, with working knowledge of ERP and SAP systems.
