Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives. This role is pivotal for identifying, qualifying, and securing new client partnerships. The ideal candidate is a "hunter" with a proven track record of selling complex software development services, who can articulate our technical capabilities to solve real-world business problems. You will be responsible for building a robust sales pipeline and closing deals that align with our company's expertise and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify, target, and secure new client accounts within target verticals (e.g., healthcare, fintech, logistics, etc.).
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Actively generate leads through a multi-channel approach, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry networking, cold outreach, attending conferences, and leveraging existing networks.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Own the entire sales cycle from initial contact and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Needs Analysis & Solutioning: Conduct deep-dive discovery calls with prospects to understand their business challenges, technical requirements, and strategic goals.
  • Proposal & Pitch Development: Collaborate with technical leads and solution architects to craft compelling proposals, project estimates, and pitches that clearly address client needs and demonstrate our value proposition.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers (CTOs, CEOs, Product VPs) and stakeholders.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to effectively position our services.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy and accurate sales pipeline using our CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), providing regular forecasts and reports to management.
  • Handoff to Delivery: Ensure a smooth transition of won projects to the delivery/operations team, setting the stage for successful execution and client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 6 months of proven experience in a Business Development or Sales role within a custom software development, IT consultancy, or digital agency. A track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas is required. Freshers are also welcome.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum), technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, front-end/back-end frameworks), and the digital product lifecycle.
  • Sales Acumen: Mastery of complex sales cycles and demonstrated ability to sell high-value projects and retainers.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences persuasively.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Strong negotiation and contract closing skills.
  • Self-Motivation: A proactive, "hunter" mentality with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network of contacts in potential target industries.
  • Technical background or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a significant plus.
