Job Summary:

  1. The BDM will be responsible for managing and growing key customer relationships in the automobile industry (Commercial & Passenger vehicles, four wheelers & two wheelers).

  2. The candidate will have a strong understanding of the automotive industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and preferences.

  2. Sales Growth: Identify opportunities to increase sales and revenue from key customers, developing and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets.

  3. Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services, providing technical support and guidance to customers as needed.

  4. Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned.

  5. Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and other business terms with customers, resolving conflicts and disputes in a timely and professional manner.

  6. Market Intelligence: Gather market intelligence and competitor information, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.

  7. Sales Forecasting: Develop and manage sales forecasts, ensuring that customer demand is met and inventory levels are optimized.

Requirements:

  1. Education: A Graduate

  2. Masters/Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

  3. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sales / account management preferably in the automotive industry.

3. Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Process oriented.

Performance Metrics:

  1. Sales Revenue Growth: Achieve sales revenue growth targets.

  2. Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

  3. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.

The company desires to strengthen its relationships with key customers, drive sales growth, provide professional service and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

In his/ her area of operation the BDM would play an important role towards this objective.
