E-commerce Technical Manager

We are seeking a seasoned E-commerce Manager with more than 10 years of experience in leading e-commerce projects, specifically with a strong focus on Magento 2 Enterprise/Cloud edition. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise in PHP development, Knockout, jQuery, JavaScript, APIs, HTML, CSS, MySQL, Git/GitHub, and GraphQL. You will oversee the architecture, design, development, and management of e-commerce platforms, ensuring seamless integration with business processes while driving continuous innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- E-commerce Platform Management:

- Oversee and manage the company's Magento 2 Enterprise/Cloud edition e-commerce platform.

- Lead the development and deployment of new features, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and high-performance e-commerce environment.

- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions, ensuring uninterrupted site performance.

• Development Leadership:

- Work closely with the development team to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient PHP-based solutions.

- Provide technical leadership in Magento 2, PHP, Knockout, and front-end technologies like jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

- Lead the development and optimization of APIs and integrations to connect with various internal and external systems.

- Oversee MySQL database management, ensuring data integrity, backup, and performance optimization.

• Project Management:

- Manage full-cycle e-commerce projects, from requirements gathering to post-deployment support.

- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and operations for the successful implementation of e-commerce initiatives.

- Technical Strategy:

- Develop and implement long-term strategies for the e-commerce platforms growth and technical evolution.

- Stay up to date with the latest e-commerce, development, and Magento trends to ensure the platform remains competitive and aligned with business objectives.

- Provide input on system architecture, design decisions, and infrastructure improvements.

• Quality Assurance:

- Oversee the testing and debugging of new features and functionalities.

- Ensure that the e-commerce platform adheres to security standards and is protected against vulnerabilities.

• Collaboration and Leadership:

- Act as the main point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders.

- Mentor and guide junior developers and team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in e-commerce development and management, with a significant focus on Magento 2 (Enterprise/Cloud editions).

• Technical Expertise:

- Proficiency in PHP development, Knockout, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MySQL, and version control using Git/GitHub.

- Hands-on experience with APIs and GraphQL in an e-commerce environment.

- Deep understanding of Magento's architecture, theming, and module development.

• Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end development.

• Proven track record in delivering complex e-commerce projects in retail.

• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple e-commerce projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization for e-commerce platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Magento 2 Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP).

• Experience with cloud platforms and deployments (AWS, Azure).

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and headless e-commerce platforms.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.
