Summary:

This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by securing contracts for the disposal of ash from thermal power plants. The successful candidate will leverage their existing network and expertise in the thermal power sector to identify new business opportunities for ash disposal.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:

  • Identify and qualify potential clients within the thermal power plant sector.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to expand the company's market share in ash disposal.
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities through networking, market research, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at thermal power plants.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract closure.
  • Prepare proposals, respond to bids and tenders, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of thermal power plants, including contact information, capacity, ash production, and disposal needs.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Ensure contracts are legally compliant and meet company standards.
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including contract renewals and modifications.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to contract performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 15+ years of proven experience in business development, preferably within the thermal power plant sector.
  • Strong understanding of the ash disposal market and related regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in bid/tender preparation and contract management.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and achieving ambitious targets.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant industry software (CRM, etc.).
  • Extensive network and database of thermal power plants.
  • Ability to travel as required.
